Probiotics Protect You by Promoting a Healthy GI Tract

Ultra 4x6 Probiotics

Probiotics and Genetically Modified (GMO) Foods

Monsanto insists that humans lack a pathway that plants have - and therefore we are safe from the effects of Roundup herbicide.    Unfortunately, the organisms that live in our GI tract, and are essential to our well-being, do HAVE this pathway.  This makes them as susceptible to death as other bacteria, fungi, algae, parasites and plants which are exposed to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup.

In other information - an article published by the Alliance for Natural Health ( cites work done by a Senior Research Scientist at MIT indicating that by 2025 half of all children will be autistic.   This will be caused by the overuse of Monsanto's Roundup herbicide on our food.

Roundup has been labeled 'The Ultimate Killing Machine.'The International Agency for Research on Cancer (an agency of the World Health Organization) said in March that the key ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup, glyphosate,  was 'probably carcinogenic to humans'.

And I love this classic line we found on a web search: "All you have is mounting evidence that glyphosate and GMO are toxic.  What Monsanto has is mountains of money to counter your evidence."

Another recent study points to a connection between the health of the flora and fauna in the GI Tract and Parkinson's disease.  This PubMed link has more detail.

There is increasing evidence that the use of probiotics may protect against the development of various Autoimmune Diseases (AD)

More exciting news; the use of probiotics  may delay the onset, and lessen the effects of AD.  You have heard of autoimmune disease (AD) - you may even live with the diagnosis.  The body’s immune system get’s confused and begins to attack itself.  This causes a variety of injuries and inflammatory situations affecting perhaps 50 million Americans. AD is implicated in 80 to 100 different conditions, and 40 more are suspected.

The most commonly encountered are Diabetes Mellitus Type I, Psoriasis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Multiple Sclerosis, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn’s Disease  Celiac Disease, and Ulcerative Colitis.

Probiotics have been found to be useful in the restoration and stabilization of normal flora in the gastro intestinal tract.  They are especially helpful to restore bacteria after a course of antibiotic treatment or gastro intestinal infections.  Ongoing studies show that L. Acidophilus DDS-1 persists in the gut after supplementation is discontinued.

What Probiotics Do

Probiotics are used to re-inoculate the colon. It is important to maintain normal flora in the colon because some digestion takes place by the bacteria in the colon, and there is an uptake of moisture for the tissues in the body. Without this action in the there may be a danger of the entrance of damaging toxins into the blood stream.
